The most fundamental accessory to a cupboard is the hanger. In India its growing prevalence indicates a shift in attire, which in turn reflects a shift in cultural habits.

Furniture and interior designer Pravinsinh Solanki extensively works with bamboo; and in the present collection, he moulds this ‘Green Gold’ into an imaginative series of hangers. Bamboo is a much-loved indigenous material because it is versatile, low-cost and eco-friendly. Solanki‘s simple forms pay homage to the material’s naturalness and tensile strength, while giving new life to an object that has always remained in the closet.
