PILLAR PODS
DESIGNER: India Urban
MATERIAL: GFRP (Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer)

The design of India Urban’s pillar pods seeks inspiration from the structural and stylistic features of the temple architecture of southern India, prominent during the Chola reign. Made out of GFRP (Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer), the pieces are lightweight and nifty, and replete with a bold, imposing bulbous form. One of its key features is its versatility — the pillar pods can be separated and then used as a form of seating or as a side-table. Alternatively, they can be inverted to be used as holders or containers for plants and flowers.
