ROCKING CHAIR
DESIGNER: Unknown
MATERIAL: Wood
STYLISTIC INFLUENCE: Indo-Portuguese

STRUCTURAL FEATURES: The seat of the chair comprises slats of wood instead of a single plank. A cushion may or may not be used, depending on the level of comfort the chair lends. The stile runs from its top to the back, and the legs of the chair are devoid of any details of a stretcher.

STYLISTIC FEATURES: The toprail or the crest features intricate decorative carvings, embracing the backrest in an almost semi-circular manner. The arms of the chair curve out with the motifs of the heads of a reptile-like creature.
