FEATURES: Inspired by the craft of origami and folded plates, the stainless steel chair designed by Mumbai-based architect Rooshad Shroff is conceptualised from a single sheet of the material. The chair, as described by Shroff, is almost akin to a ‘piece of paper with mirror finish.’ The design of the chair was created in collaboration with Godrej’s Design Lab, with Shroff’s work selected as part of a call for entries conducted by Godrej in 2015.
The modern, sleek piece of seating maintains the thinness of the stainless steel, yet is strong enough to form into a rigid structure with well-defined edges and contours and comfortable seating. It has a matte-finished interior and a high-gloss exterior.
