Last year, Asian Paints, Asia’s third largest paints company, launched its line of wall coverings called Nilaya. For its inaugural collection, the brand tied up with Sabyaschi Mukherjee, the country’s leading couturier. The collection tapped into the rich repository of Indian textile motifs such as Jamdani weaving, Benarasi Brocade, Daccani muslin and chintz torecreate the grandiose of Royal India.
