The displayed tile has been designed by Rooshad Shroff and makes use of zardosi hand-embroidery in cotton thread. A gridded base functions as a blank canvas, allowing for different types of patterns to be woven in. Each customized panel takes up to eight hours to complete, including the wood-work and embroidery. The concave and convex tiles are then assembled to create an intriguing surface finish.
